5 Ways to enjoy your business trip in Denver, CO

A business trip in Denver doesn’t have to be limited to board room meetings and corporate settings. With a little bit of careful planning, you can get a taste of what makes Denver one of the best places to live in the country.

Here are five ways you can make the most of your business trip in Denver.

  1. Grab some coffee to start your day

Start the day right with a good cup of coffee. There are several local roasters to try in the city, such as Huckleberry Roasters, Prodigy Coffeehouse, Commonwealth Coffee Roasters, Rivers and Roads Coffee, and Black Eye Coffee, to name a few. Denver’s local coffee shops are also great places to unwind after a long day of meetings.

  2. Take a break in one of Denver’s parks

Do you have a free hour or two in between meetings? Take a breather at the nearest park. Denver is home to over 5,000 acres of green spaces, scattered across the city.

There are several to choose from, including Washington Park, Cheesman Park, and Confluence Park. Some of the parks are also home to certain attractions. City Park, for instance, has the Denver Zoo. Meanwhile, Denver Art Museum is located in Civic Center.

If most of your business dealings are concentrated in Denver Tech Center, the nearest parks include Rosamond Park, Village Greens Park, Westlands Park, and Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve.

  1. Get some retail therapy

Do not forget to bag a couple of souvenirs for you and your loved ones. For unique finds, check out the historic district of Larimer Square. For an upscale shopping experience, head to Cherry Creek Shopping Center, home to shops such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Michael Kors. Tennyson Street has art galleries, while South Broadway has antique shops and consignment stores.

  2. Explore the great outdoors

Save the last day of your business trip and schedule a day trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It is only about an hour and a half’s drive away from the city.

If you only have half of the day free, we suggest going on an early morning hike to catch the sunrise in one of the outlooks. You will be back by lunchtime.

  3. Experience Denver at night

There are many things to do in Denver after dark. For your last night in the city, start by getting a sumptuous dinner at one of Denver’s best restaurants. Acorn is highly recommended. Then, make your way to one of the local breweries, such as Great Divide Brewing Company, for some craft beer. Finish the night at a bar to complete your sampler of Denver nightlife.
